A blog by Purnima Sadhana, a former flying crew with 37 years of experience. Honest stories, self-care in transit, and memories from a life spent between airports and home.
Welcome to My Blog!
Hello everyone, I’m Purnima Sadhana. I flew for 37 years—across countries, seasons, moods, and everything in between.
This blog is not about tips and tricks. It’s about life in the skies—and what it does to you. It’s about crew corridors, midnight rosters, shared glances over galley coffee, and the many ways flying rewires your body, your memory, and sometimes, your heart.
I created this space to share what I’ve learned (and unlearned), and to invite others—crew, travellers, families, anyone who's ever said “safe flight”—to share theirs too.
You’ll find stories from my flying days, reflections on what comes after, and thoughts on everything from fatigue and fitness to memory and menopause.
What to Expect
Fitness and self-care routines that kept me grounded
Food habits that survived layovers and hotel buffets
Thoughts on stress, fatigue, grief, and staying sane
Travel moments, crew culture, and lessons from 35,000 feet
Stories—mine and yours—that stayed after the seatbelt sign turned off
A Note on Community
You can share under your real name or a pseudonym.
No judgments here. No filters. No sales pitches.
Just stories told with empathy and honesty.
We’ll keep it respectful, confidential, and human. Because flying might be technical, but living through it isn’t.
I’m glad you’re here.
If there’s a memory, a moment, or a feeling you haven’t quite shaken off—The Aisle Never Forgets is a good place to start.
Read a few posts. You might just find a part of yourself you left behind at Gate 12B.
Welcome aboard.

P.S. Not everything needs to be a full story. Sometimes it’s just a thought, a question, or a quiet hello. If something stayed with you, ring the Call Bell.
I’ll reply—after landing.
